Hey guys my xr won't turn over, on the dash there was a (!) sign coming on whenever i tried to start it, don't know what that means.

Battery is full charge and it's not even cranking at all, I figure it's just a loose starter or starter relay connection.

I'm going back to the car in a few hours with tools. Are there any other possibilities that you guys think it could be? The car is pretty far from here so I thought id do a bit of homework first.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Jarred.

Check the small wire going to the starter motor. It has a simple spade connector- give it a wiggle and see how you go.

Also try starting the car in neutral. If it does, it is probably the auto selector switch on the trans.
