Hi everyone,
I have just brought an EF XR8 with 191,000 on the clock and i have pulled the non working cd player out the old owner put in and now the car wont start. It winds over and i think it might be because i have taken the cd player out and havent put another in... I have been told it wont start without a radio in it... I am just trying to find out before i go mental and spend big money on it... Any help is greatly appreciated |

Red 10A fuse was probably blown when you pulled the head unit out as you shorted something. That particular fuse will stop you from starting as well.

Yeah mate i think i remember when it blew i had unpluged the wiring harnass from the cd player and the last owner had only used electrical tape round the joins and it was fairly old and it wasnt covering the joins as well as some would hope but yeah for sure next time i will be disconnecting the battery
