G'day rev heads,

Just thought I'd let you know I raced my ute the other night and broke into the high twelves in full street trim.
I had trans dramas which kept me away for awhile but it's running good now with a switch back to a standard gear set in the C4(the Art Carr set blew up) and new input shaft to replace the twisted one that came out. I also now have an Allfast 2400rpm stall(flashes to 3600rpm).
I Still have to drive like a grandma out of the hole which results in a lousy 2.06 60ft time. Never-the-less I am pretty happy with 12.96@107mph.
The air was humid and warm and corrected altitude was 1500feet.
I also had trouble of wheelspin returning after 1-2 shift!? It's been suggested that it is because of the change from concrete to asphalt at the motorplex. I thought I had run over some water!

BTW my wife Jill did a 14.3@102mph in her XR6T(not bad for her first time eh?)

Cheers,
Pete.

Nice effort, especially with the corrected altitude. 2.06 60ft time isnt so great tho, my EF is pulling 1.8 60ft times, but as you can see by my times, it fallss flat on its head when motoring, really need to get some decent heads and a cam for her.
well done tho
Brett

Thanks Lads,

Brett, that's a nice 60ft for street tyres..how do you get it to hook so well?
I've only managed a 1.9 60ft(on the way to a 13.6@102) with a pair of borrowed slicks on my old engine.

Jills' XR6 has certainly got a high 13 in it with that mph(and she left in drive). We squeezed 265kw(from 180kw) from a stock turbo recently so a similar flash onto hers should make it fairly piss!

Pete.

Man you westerners know how to fry some serious rubber. Last nights mini burnout comp at WSID had the worst quality burnout cars I've ever seen in my life. The most smoke came from a dead stock VN 3.8 with a single spinner diff. I could have sworn my XF would have given all 6 holdens a run for their money, including the 10 sec torana that blew his engine on the pad after a s**t display.

she hooked up beautifully, just left it in drive, econ switch in the econ position, NOS on and armed then nailed it. I have a flat spot off idle without the NOS(something to do with the unichip) but with the NOS was a quick squel and away it went. When i stalled it up it stepped out on me and ran a 1.97 60ft. Stock LSD3.45:1, standard auto. Ehat can i say, its a freak. Street tyres, 225/50zr16 dunlop sp3000's. Thats it

Good stuff Brett, Sounds like that flat spot might be helping you get out of the hole without too much torque(wheelspin)...a flat spot can be a bonus!
Trouble with mine is I have torque everywhere and a big throttle body so it's very hard to feather it out of the hole. I should do a drag only remap to limit torque i suppose but then I hardly ever go so it's probably a waste of time.
BTW even though the burnout was fun, motorvation itself was s**t....those idiots couldn't organise a root in a brothel! and the officials showed blatant bias when it came to those misbehaving.

BTW the glowing exhaust killed the grass back in the pits:)

Cheers,
Pete.

Pete

I just recently bought a old XY, am wanting probably the same power output as you and want to go EFI so if you could give me a run down on your specs that'd be sweet (already know your running Tweecer :) )
