Can anyone please show me a photo of where this is located?
Is it an easy job to replace?

Thanks.

Hey.

The thermostat housing can be found at the front of the engine, top dead centre. It's where the top radaitor hose connects. Yeah pretty easy to replace, remove the housing (just have a look-see and you'll figure out how to do it).

Just need a new gasket and some sealant and you're done...

Pete,

You'll see that where the top radiator hose meets the engine, there is an "elbow" looking piece. Look at the bottom of this elbow piece and you will see it has a couple of bolts on it. Remove this and the thermostate will be housed between this elbow piece and the engine...

You'll need to remove the engine covers to access it properly, if you havent done so already.

Rgds
Martin

Just a tip, don't replace it with the standard 192degreeF unit, use a cooler 180degree F unit.
it makes a hell of a difference in city traffic for short durations and you will have that feeling the car has before it reaches "normal" operating temp.
the cheapest & easiest way to gain 10-15hp

isnt it better to run in the normal range of temp rather than cold?
10-15hp gain with a cooler stat?
