Mate, they are as rare as hens teeth. I want a late EL Ghia V8 with full leather and low k's. Willing to pay a premiemfor it but the only one I have found was a 97 model with 180k showing but was prestine condition, they wanted 17500 for it and no offers. I think its a bit much considering the k's. They are a f**k'n nice car ang would be a sweet cruiser but for that money I want low k's.

Yes, 17.5k sounds like a little bit much.

Yah I know, but I have been looking for months and it's the only one I have seen for sale anywhere on the net or anywhere else I have looked. As I said they are rare. At the end of the day they only have 6kw more than the 6 and weighs 25 kg more. But I so hard want a V8 if only for the sound and smoothness.

Hey ford_freako, being an owner of one of these still makes me happy even over a year after purchase. They are smooth, quiet with plenty of torque that makes driving so effortless. In stock form they are fairly restricted in breathing but it won't take much to sort that out if thats your game plan. I'm also still getting compliments from friends & family when they ride with me in my Ghia as there are no squeaks, creaks, rattles or groans to be heard.
In regards to finding one, they might not be so plentiful as the I6's but they are still popping up for sale on a semi regular basis like mine did - I spent months checking on availability for an EL Ghia before I finally spotted mine.
A low km V8 might fetch upto about $15,500 for a pristine model but that would be rare.

Even with the stock exhaust when its revvin hard you can hear the v8 sound trying to get through. I cant wait to get a sports exhaust and extractors. :D
