Just wanting to know the difference between the EL GT cam and my EL Fairmont Ghia V8 cam? Is it worth investing in one of these if I dont change heads/intake? I can get my hands on one and need to know.

The GT cam is only slightly larger than the stock one. Changing the cam is a big job on the Windsor so if I was doing it I would be looking at something much larger than the GT cam to make it worth while. You would also get similar results fitting 1.72 ratio roller rockers on your stock cam.

for the cost of the GT cam you would be better off buyign a aftermarket cam from crow,crane etc
and yes you would need to change the head,exhausts to get the most benifit out of teh GT cam or any aftermarket cam

You should at the very very least change to a bigger MAF and let it breath.
