Hey guys, got some questions about an EL GT MAF. Would this be a straight bolt on mod for my EL2 XR8 or would I need the EL GT ECU to run it? Would I need to have 24 pound injectors? Would the XR loom plug straight into the GT MAF electronics?
Would it work with everything else stock XR or would I have to get the above things as well? Would I be better off getting a GT MAF or just getting the 70mm with no electronics from BPT? And also are the EL GT MAFs 72mm? Would I have to get a GT throttle body or could I just get that from BPT? Cheers.

It'll bolt in fine and work to a degree but it will be thinking you have 24lbers. So you'll really need 24lbers. Or you could change the electronics with the 55mm one you currently have on the car.

So going by that then if I would have to swap the standard electrics to the new GT MAF then it would be better (cheaper, lots cheaper) to just get the BPT one and swap the electrics into one of those? Also would it actually run with the standard ECU if you just put in the 24s with the GT electronics or would the ECU also need to be tuned to the 24s?

I believe its calibrated to work with #24 injectors and the GT / FBT ECU only. To get it to work on stock ECU's would require an edit.

So in other words it would be pointless really in getting one then. I guess keeping the extra $ saved by buying the BPT one and use it towards a bigger throttle body then would be the better idea.
