I have an ef futura v8. I am running an elgt ecu, pro-m 75mm bullet maf (with GT calibration) and 24# injectors. For a while I've been getting crappy fuel economy and the idle has been lopey. I did a code check and couldn'r make any sort of sense from it but on a KOER test i kept getting 998 which means test was not completed due to a major sensor fault. I think this is my maf. I unplugged it tonight and the car runs as it did before. I have 12v on one wire, 5v on another, nothing on the earth and nothing on the signal which is what I expected. MrLandau originally imported the maf, but I bought the whole ecu/maf/injector setup from OneDrone (i think his name was). Does anyone know how to contact mrlandau or maybe know of any other australian maf dealers? thanks.

I'd like my power back lol.

Yeah I bought it from you :p

Was great when the maf was working. Problem is now my standard stuff is gone so to get this car going properly I might have to look at converting back to std eec/injectors/maf for the time being.

Might seem too obvious but check out the wiring on the MAF harness... make sure it's all plugged in etc.

Certainly sounds like that MAF is doing absolutely nothing. EEC seems to agree with you there!!

thanks xlrate, will do soon.

I'm not sure that mrlandau will be keen to help, pete (xr9ute) told me over email prom shafted him so it might be a dead end. The car seems to run fine without the maf, idle occasionally gets lumpy and it has a heap of power (well more than a stock ho motor) uses a bucket load of fuel but apart from that without a maf i'm quite suprised it's going like it is.

Actually now that I think of it the plug would get loose on me too every once in a while. Just make sure it's plugged in properly. Clean the wires with cleaner and cotton buds carefully.
