Is there any gain to be had fitting the auto ecu from the el xr8 auto i just fitted to the nc.Its shifting great now im thinking its probly not worth doing...any thoughts on this

The auto transmission control modules differ between the EECIV(EB, ED, NC) and EECV (EF &EL) and you cannot expect them to function when you swap them over. Short answer = not worth it.

If you are talking about the engine's ECU, again, it will not function but this is because you will need a loom swap.
