There are no receipts or docs. to say that my ex-copper has had a chip fitted. The salesman who sold me the car plus one other guy who knows the history of my car say's the same thing. How can I tell? Where does the chip mod. live?I'd like to see it and identify it so that when it's time to sell the car I can prove it to a potential buyer. Any info regarding this mod. would be appreciated.Thanks.

Remove the left hand kick panel and look at the base of the EEC. If it's got a chip fitted it will be partially sticking out the bottom. If not it will have a black plastic plug in there.
