hey guys, just wondering about transplanting my old 302w with one of the newer V8's! how and what would be involved in transplanting the boss 290 into a series 1 EL xr8????

any help or ideas would be great!

other wise i will stick to the 302w and mod that! any help on this would be great!

my new baby is a 97 EL xr8 chaser, i believe the only difference is the ignition (for a more powerfull spark) and different ecu settings for the gear box to have a more aggressive shift..... is this right or are there any other differences?

cheers guys, marc.

The BA sixes don't fit in an e-series properly, the Boss won't even fit into a BA without a bigger bonnet.. going to need a lot of work!

theres no difference in the angle of the cylinders, the boss motor looks like a 302 windsor without its massive heads.

those boss motors look huge allready in a "B-series" falcons let alone an "E-series" falcon.. would be an absolute monster! And id imagine the shock towers would need a hell of a beating/massage to even nearly fit the Boss motor in.. -being as wide as it is... -good luck with the idea mate.. BTW.. you didnt happen to win the lottery lately?
