I run mine only on Ultimate 98 and my last tank I ran quite empty and got 620ks and it cost me $100 to fill up at $1.42 p/l.
That is about 70% round town type driving and 30% country Ks. I would normally get about 500-550ks per tank. Oh yeah mines also a manual 185kw version. |

depends on how you drive them, the i6 will drink just as much when driven hard

Thanks.[/quote] I gave mine to my son. When I drove it it got 11.5 L/100Km average but with his driving habits it gets 12.5 L/100Km average. We both got the same on trips which was around 10 L/100Km however on a recent long trip he claimed considerably better than this around 9. In general driving he gets about 500 or so km before he fills up the tank (68lt tank) . Obviously the tank is not dry when he fills up. power wise there is stuff al difference between the six and the eight but the eight has more torque and there is nothing like the feel of an eight. |

If it was deciding over an XR6 to an XR8 based on fuel consumption. I'd definately be going the 8.
They will basically be indentical. My manual 8 Used less (when stock) that my old mans Auto 6. Defiantely go the 8, if its a nice car. I spend around $80 a week and get about 350-400km to a tank, but that aint stock either, so they're not as bad as you might think. |

I have an EF 8 Manual, and I get about 400km to the tank. I have similar mods to EL XR8 though. Its not stock.

Having had 2 sixes bfore my 8, you do notice the minor rise in fuel consumption, but its really not a great deal, these days with the price of fuel it's a much of muchness, and if you end up modding your six so much to be like a v8 that it will like pertrol anyway.. nothing in it, buy the v8.. i wish i was getting those kinds of fuel figures, 450-500kms.. etc

Ha, I remember the days when I could fill the LPG tank from completely empty and pay only $14. These days, those memories are enough to make you cry.
