(but i was lose power ect, just wanting to see if it will start before i go an buy resistors). now i do have the manual gearbox loom (gearbox to loom connector in engine bay) but im guessin i have to join a couple of wires to tell it that its in D or N so it can start? any help on the matter is appreciated cheers

You need to at least bridge the neutral start wires on the gearbox harness otherwise the Engine cant turnover.

I just finished the manual conversion on my 6cyl and I have the same warning light coming up but mine starts and drives fine, I'm using manual ecu and manual gearbox harness and left the other plug from engine bay as is.
I'm under the impression the the warning light (!) is a brake warning light so how does it affect it starting if it is??

Did you get the switch unit for the clutch pedal that kills cruise when you change gears? If so where the hell does it plug in I convered my NF to T5 over a year ago and havent found where to plug it in - Im not really built for grovelling under dashes !

The plug for the clutch switch is connected to the brake switch loom up under dash. It's got a plug on it already so unplug it and plug in the clutch switch.
Now I think about it that's what it'll be in mine as I have removed the plug but not connected the clutch switch.

I think the (!) is related to smartlock or problems in that area like NDS.
I remember an AU 5.0L conversion into an XH I did where that came up because the EECV wasn't coded to the body module but that was smartshield not smartlock where that coding isn't required.

To reset smart lock u have to leave the ignition in the "on" position for 30-45 mins until the door locks cycle yeh? An if its a brake problem/failure where would I begin to look to shove the issue? Cheers
