Hello guys,
Just wanted some advise as to how to fix a problem I'm having.
My el2 xr8 when it's cold it hesitates to sit in gear when taking off, if I let her warm up for a couple of minutes before I drive she is fine.
Is this a transmission, diff gears, or is it as simple as getting a transmission service.
If it's the gear box i will look into getting it converted to manual.

Thanks guys

Have you checked the fluid level in the auto?

When was the auto last serviced?

G'day SWC,
I brought the car from a dealer 4-5months ago and I havint had the transmission serviced yet,
I got a huge scare when I was driving out my drive way last night and it was in 'Drive' but was rolling back like it was in neutral I was only little revving and then all of a sudden an almighty bang happened!! Then it slammed into gear :(

Didn't sound healthy at all..

Check the fluid level. While you are at it, check the colour of the fluid.

How many Km on the car/

How many Km have you done since you got it?

Probably needs a good service and system flush.
