I have a complete shift kit here ready to go you can have for $70 posted if you wish.
I will mark where each wire comes from off the TCU as I remove it.

That will be the fun you have.
To the best of my knowledge noone has actually got one up and working 100% for a V8 yet.

don't NC 5L have a TCM? and EF 5L's have it built into the ECU?

try using the search function up the top of the page. eg. "Shift Kits" and maybe limit the search to topic titles only...

but in 5 minutes i seemed to have found something for you at least

On a 6 cylinder yes it was in the ECU.
All V8 run a seperate TCU.

Series 1 EB did have a TCM on the 6's.
I think it only become part of the ECU on EF onwards.
V8 have the TCM and its part of the ECU from AU onwards from memory.
No the wiring is different between 6 and V8 TCM's I believe.
