i've done a search i know where the number is but the engines in the car and covered by the exhaust manafold, So is their a easier way to get the engine number or and i faced with attampting to use inspection mirrors/removing the manafolds and jacking the motor up?

Have you still got the VIN number of the donor vehicle?

Or better yet, the compliance plates from the donor vehicle?

Engine number is the letters/numbers after the first 6 digits of the VIN.
