not worth it
the 3v makes awesome torque get a blower kit for it and smoke all the turbo boys!

I agree with Frank,
Modify the 3V. Torque monster. There's NC ported heads available from Ford racing and mobs like Livernois motorsports, Foxlake or MMR. and cams from Comp etc. Or bung a blower on it. Centrifugal kits like Vortech are well suited to these and easy to do. If you really want to change to a 4V it isn't that difficult but I wouldn't change for anything less than a 290 engine or better still the 302 or 315kw version. |

iirc there was a member on here who had a white ba 3v ( might have been in wa )
had a blower on it and was hitting 1000nm torque at the tyres or some other massive number

From someone who has owned both, stick with what you have, the cam phase timing or whatever the 3V has gives it that spread of torque.
You will need the XR ECU at the very least, might be more of an issue on transmissions with the B series (is donor auto or manual, BTR or ZF, etc)....not too sure about other components like switchable traction control. It would be best to get as much wiring as possible with the donor motor, then continue to ask questions. For the dollars invested in the swap, just to get a base 260 motor in with worse down low performance...you would have a singing 3V v8...trust me they can be made to move very very quickly and sound the tits. A300kw motor with csms, breathing and a tune is achievable.
