What size ID will they be?
3" will potentially be pointless for those with the stock 165KW MAF and TB.

I already have a Herrod one.
What would be the difference, and what price are you talking about here ? |

Its and EOI first to see if its worth quoting but it would be like the 6 cyl inatkes being 3" tube and powder coated - You are looking at about $165

OK, but how will i go hooking it up to my PRO-M Maf, and with my edelbrock manifold, the stock intake tube is severly compressed, so i would guess mine is aprox 1inch shorter than it should be
But if this is all doable then count me in for EFV8 in Black please Brett

I have a 3" 45deg mandrel bend from a performance exhaust shop, which they cut to fit into where the stock pipe goes.
It fits snugly inside my plastic Pro-M Bullet MAF, with a clamp holding it. The throttle end has a rubber section to connect the pipe, using two clamps to hold it. It looks fantastic, and cost bugger all. Pics are a bit crap, but ya get the idea.

as per request convention
znipa-x, EFV8, Silver hope it will connect up easily to a 70mm Pro-M and 65mm TB bolted to a Cobra manifold.

I would've thought that it would be better fitting such a pipe over the MAF rather than under. The same theory as Pacemaker's "pipe over cone"..

The pipe is pushed into the maf just enough to clamp it, its a pretty flush and snug fit inside and out.
Its not going to make much difference to performance either way, its just to look good.

that wont be possible with the metal pro-m mafs, or normal mafs

No, but using another rubber connection, like the one at the throttle body end, it will work.
Though the AU V8's have there air temp sensor in there intake pipes, not in the #5 runner, so keep that in mind.

My mistake, It is a 60* bend, not a 45* bend.
I originally purchased a 45* and then another exhaust shop tried a 60* bend, which fit much better. Cutting the new bend and one rubber connection cost me $60. Then 3 clamps, and some black paint. Two rubber connections would obviously be more expensive, and one extra clamp). The AU pipes will need something welded for the sensor to go into. The Herrod ones would be the easiest way out, but there not cheap. Powder coated would be sweet, as well as polished. Anything's better than the stock pipe with that dog turd thingy IMO.
