Seeing some strange issues with the AU 302W since the supercharger has gone on. Gremlins! The car is sluggish and prone to backfiring at part throttle under normal "take off from the lights" type load. If I go WOT and push it past 4000rpm everything seems to sort itself out all hell breaks loose (as demonstrated by 250RWKW on the dyno).
Courtesy of the SCT X3 which can return OBD codes I've found the following faults: P0103: I can easily reproduce P0103 by putting the car into 1st and from a stand still, go full throttle to around 4500-5000rpm and back off. P0103 is "Mass Air Flow (MAF) Circuit High Input." P0350: I cant reproduce this error easily, but it pops up from time to time. It points to "Ignition coil primary/secondary circuit". Not very helpful as the codes P0351,P0352,P0353,P0354 exist AND I can force them to occur by unplugging the coil packs Interestingly if I unplug the coil packs, P0350 DOES NOT appear. I have the factory MAF infront of the blower, a proven concept on many Raptor V8 equipped cars. Coils are brand new (3rd set already), leads are new, plugs are new. TPS reads fine and this is reflected through the live logging - showing 0.95V idle and gradually going all the way up to 3.8V at 80% throttle (need a new throttle cable bracket to get 100% throttle on the Edelbrock 75mm TB - unrelated issue). The 4sp shifts fine, the car starts and idles with no problem. So, question is - why is my MAF over voltage. Does it not like the boost, or are we looking at a broken wire which is picking up some stray voltage somewhere? Next - why am I getting P0350? (or rather, why dont I get it when I unplug both coil packs?) What does this error really mean? Cheers

Sounds like you're pegging the MAF. What MAF is it?
Btw the MAF has to go in front of the blower to work correctly. |

Standard AU 65mm MAF. The fault wont log if I just rev out to 5000rpm at idle, it must be under load. So I'm guessing the issue does relate to air volume rather than just RPM.
How many KW are these MAF's good for?

AU MAF's are 70mm...a blower would easily max one out.
Can you watch live data or log data with that sct thing? |

Yeah? OK, well its a 70mm
Yep, X3 has live log. What MAF PID's are you interested in?

i thought the maf would work best as a draw through/ before the raptor rather than after....
having huge amounts of pressure being forced through it would confuse it i would think?? |

Yes that's why he has it in front of the blower.

Just found a point in the logs from yesterday - 4600rpm, 83% Throttle, MAF 4.9999999V. Looks like 1st gear, WOT, ~30km(mp?)/hr
And ramping up to that maximum, some points along the way; 3500RPM 4.3V 4000RPM 4.7V 4100RPM 4.85V 4300RPM 4.93V

The 90mm Lightning MAF wont fit, any ideas for a replacement that isnt quite so massive?

You think the 80mm Cobra kit will be up to the job? Is there any specs on these to understand how much air they can flow?

Also, 4 or 6 wire MAF is fine right? My understanding is the 6 wire has integrated IAT sensor (which I wouldnt use)

Yep that's right just use the 4 MAF connections in a 6 wire job.
Here's some examples from years ago. The Hitachi one with my name is one I supplied and it's the 80mm '96 Cobra job. Judging by your logs it seems you're only just maxing it out which is what I'd expect from that small blower. The Ford racing plastic 70mm was also a good piece but pretty hard to find these days. The 93 Cobra and 94-5 Cobra 70mm jobs are pretty much the same as your AU 70 for reference. Attachment:
