I have a xr8 200kw, I have been told by a exhaust place that the stand exhaust is good and I will not improve the prformance of the car by putting on a sport system. What do you guys think?

the std exhaust is pretty decent IMO....probably not the first place to start looking for more power.

edit and/or camshaft would be the first things I would do.

yep...the tune from the factory is pretty ordinary.

plenty of scope for an experienced Ford tuner to get more out of it.

Just wait until it rusts out mate. nothing wrong with standard. Go for single 2.5 inch afterwards, sounds full and sings beautifully. Twin 2.5 sounds tinny and only good for with blower.

I second that.

I think the standard exhaust is OK and went to change the stock mufflers to straight throughs but found the whole system was on its last legs.

So I got a single 2.5' cat back installed with 1 straight through muffler and a resonator. Now it sounds great at idle and whilst revving and goes a bit better too. (AU2 XR8220)

Hi folks,

So what's the consensus on fitting extractors then? AUIII XR8. Twin 2.5 from cat back currently.

Cheers,

Ian
