Hey everyone,

First of all I'm not much more than a 'textbook V8 know-all' - in such that I know what parts are good for power etc (from reading forums etc), but I'm looking at a 5spd EL II XR8 with the following mods and sorta wanting to see what sort of power you guys would think it'd have....good way to see if he's inflating figures etc or not. Thanks in advance for any help/comments!

Mods;
- Scatt 347 stroker kit
- GT40 heads (ported) & manifold
- 1.6 Crane roller rockers
- Ford Motorsport cam (not sure of size/duration etc)
- AU EEC V computer
- Crane ignition
- 24lb injectors
- 70mm AFM and 70mm (i assume) edelbrock t/b
- Pacemaker HPC/ceramic coated extractors
- Twin 2.25" exhaust (pretty much straight through)

Motor has only done about 10-15,000kms in current build and car has done just over 100,000kms.

Thanks guys!

It would really depend on how big the cam is and how much work has gone into the heads/intake but I would say around the 200-240rwkw or 260-300fwkw range.

AU EEC? Interesting.. I would've thought there would've been a bit of work to do that, and the AU EEC doesn't like cams other than stock.

Would depend on the inlet as well. But 200-240rwkw sounds about right. Is this that stroker the was forsale on these forums recently??
Good buy either way. What box and diff is in it just out of interest
Brett

It is the one that was on the forums a while back, I've kept in touch with the guy. There is another 2 XR8's (one other stroked) that I'm looking at, but they're over east. All are 5spd and either 3.45 or 3.7 diff ratio LSD. Box dont really matter as I'm budgeting for either a Z-spec V8 box or a TKO to go in soon after I get one.
