How did you go with this? Same problem with me, No idea what to do with the lines.
And whats the go with the barb thats got a cap on it on the HO. do i cap the one on the explorer? On the explorer, I'm guessing the fitting shown on the top left goes to the vacuum line that connects to the front left side of the engine bay? The one below it goes Where? The top right one gets capped just like on the HO The bottom right one goes to the brake booster And the Extra fitting the HO does not have gets plugged? What do i do with the 2 spare lines that could connect to the HO either side of the brake booster vac line but not on the Explorer? Thanks |

Thanks Moody, when it comes closer to the time for assembly let me know and i can com down and help ya, or your more than elcome to come up and have a look at the ute again mate. I could probly try and sit down and explain it on here but it'd be much easier on the job. Jeff

Clean up those parts with oven cleaner like Easyoff, something with lye in it. Spray it on hose it off in 5-10 minutes. You will be amazed! Port match the gasket and clean up the runners casting flaws in the big bend ports at least. Those heads flow pretty good stock, exhaust side needs most work polishing, grinding the polution humps off helps flow too, port match the intake. I polish the backside of the valves, keeps the carbon from building up and a 3 angle grind. You will get 15-20hp gain by switching the intake manifold alone, 10+ more with these mods.

The T220 engine had some tweaking of the heads and a few other items to make up for the less aggressive cam which was designed with Ford's EPA design guidelines and is where the extra power came from - not so much from the T220 cam as it's quite mild. What rockers you running? I'm fairly sure the 220 had 1.7 r/r from factory (yella terra ones) whereas the 200 had 1.6, hence why the cam itself from the 200 is bigger.

this thread was started over a year ago and i've well and truly got the explorer side of things sorted. as for the cam, almost 100%sure its a au200kw cam. recently had the manifold off again and while off, measured the lift of the lifter. general consensus over at AFF was that cam.
