ah well im not gonna pretent i know a whole heap about these motors. theres always somone that knows more and i dont mind learnin a lesson here n ther.
And hey if i had to do anythin more than basic bolt ons and the such if it came to takeing off heads or replaceing internal parts id be completely lost.. absolutly zero expirience.

There's only one way to learn! Alot of people are scared of doing big jobs, but if you take your time and remember where everything goes/went, you shouldn't really have a problem.

I was dreading taking the injector pump off my 1HZ diesel cruiser, mechanic said it would take me 3 hours, I had it off in 45 mins. air tools where have you been all my life...

After a BPT Custom Genric tune mine sometimes goes to 6, but i don't like it when it does. I tell ya what though, that tune really wakes them up  , you only need to go to bout 5,500 i reckon is enough for me

When Ford made the BF's they upped the revs on them a bit to produce an extra 10kw. The Barra 220 has 220 kW @ 4750 rpm and the barra 230 has 230 kW @ 5350 rpm so you can go a bit higher, just depends on whether you want to risk it or not i guess.

Would love to see how these mods turn out, i reckon these motors have lots of potential but my wallet is not as thick as id like :|

how much power did it make?

at the minute with cai & full exhaust 196 rwkw's (untuned).
i just got a flash tuner today (off another forum) with 5.4-3v tune's already done 8-)
it was once owned by Mr CVE, who got 235 rwkw's with the 98 otc tune in it !
he's since put a turbo on it getting and 320 rwkw's (from memory)
i've had a ride in the car.... and it's awesome !!!!!
the preset tune's are for a setup the same as mine (but with u/drive pulley's).
the guy i got it off made 227 rwkw's... with the same tune !!!! (no u/drive's).
if i can get around that figure i'll be happy.....for now 8-)

muta f**k not thumper got the phasers on and went to use the tools supplied by comp cams to fit the lock up kits and the springs on the phasers are different and the j clip on the spring is different they sit 180 degres out compared to were the other ones sit along with having an extra lug (being the bolt end) for spring tension!!! the ones in the picture on the instructions were on a 4.6 stang and the phaser spring looked the same as my old ones so my guess is they changed the spring on the phaser later on in the picture as both phasers are a genuine unit, anyway made up the correct tools and got the limiter plates, will post pics of everything soon whologan borrowed my camara (ps check out his gallery its worth it) in progress has been slow have been to busy fixing everyone elses cars, also forgot to mention the old phasers have rol pins holding the reluctor wheel in place and the new ones have riverts both very tiny!

Have no idea, but other people with similar mods reckon ~220RWKW. BPT reckon the 3v got 165RWKW standard.
