muther thumper 030 cams, and 20 degree limiter kit, 3000 dominator stall, gt290kw box rebiult, 3.9 gears, herrod lsd hub,, pacmacer extractors ,collectors and cats, into 2.5 twin mandrel, hayden pullen from hp racing and dyno tuning in wagga wagga tuning it ,not sure on injectors yet see how we go as for the vibration worries every one has its called rebiuld and balance it within an inch of its life limit it to 6000rpm on the dot no need for any moor revs anyways just stupid with this aplication hoping for 300rwkw least lets see what hapens i would be happy with 300hp at the rears

wo man thats like wat i would like some time down the track.
ill be watchin with interest.
also doesnt these cars get around 300hp or more at the wheels with just cai extractors + good flowing exhaust and a custom tune?. somthin like 230 kw.
300kw at the treads would definatly be awsom with the massive torque these motors produce.

This should be pretty tough when finished

Get on fordforums.com.au as there a few 3v owners that would love this build

hey fairmont may i ask how much the cams and phasers cost plus fitting?
Also wondering how come ur useing a hi stall?.. Isnt the point of these so u can get the motor revs up to get into the peak torque curve on the strip? coz these 3v motors hav torque everywer.
Plus i read somwer that wen doin cams for these motors you hav to re build the bottom end coz it cant handle it stock.

what time frame are you looking at with the build?
did you do a "before" dyno run ? to see what you will gain from the mod's.

ok change of cams to the 030 but there here and all i need is a cam phaser hopefully eboost is gonna help me out i now the cam specs are big espicially with 314 degres duration on the exhaust but idle doesnt worry me the meaner the better and the stall will cover it being a pig under three just wanna get it together and going wont be able to use the full range of the cams yet but when i do the bottom end properly ill let it buzz out to 6500 but i think 5800 for now shouldnt be to bad on it if it blows it blows

i heard somwer that coz these 3v motors are made mainly for truks they have a nice strong oil pump. unlike the 4v ones that need replacing if they are to go over the 5k rpm limit.

They both have the same block and basics like water pump n oil pump. Both oil pump gears are made from sintered metal, which is basically powdered metal heated and fused together. Performance shops sell billet oil pump gears for them, BPT Motorsport in WA does them and would probably ship. If your running lots of mods its worth the piece of mind.

well i hav preety much all i wanted for this car on it. except maybe higher diff ratio ... probly 3.7 woulda been best.
all i want now is custom tune..
what revs do these motors make power up to and stay relatively safe? i would think somwer like 5500 or 5800..
anyway from wat ive read with all i have plus custom tune ill be ridin on 300 rwhp or these abouts. wich is probly enough for me for a few years.
