take the pod filter off it and leave it stock, you will see hardly any/no gain by using a pod filter, especially if its a cheap band

I won't mind having one on there it gives the engine a meaty sound how can I fix the flooding problem it that's what it is, is it the air flow sensor the manafold or the computer cause I'm lost for ideas on what the problem is

There was a series of tests done-checkutube, with pod filters, that basically found that they were a waste of time, and in some cases a retrograde step; especially when they are exposed to the heat of the engine bay. Imho a good sports type filter in the original space is the go.

If it's an oiled filter(like say a K&N) and it's been over oiled you can coat the hotwire with oil and give false readings.
The resulting backfire may also have killed the MAF/hotwire. A pod filter needs to be enclosed and fed with cool air to work properly which is why often, the stock airbox is better. |
