fitting an 65mm AU style TB to my EF V8, the fitment bit is easy, but when I hooked up the throttle cable I notice it's holding the butterfly open at about half throttle and I can't find anywaht to adjust the cable, how do I get it back to idle postion.
okay lots of looks not many answers, here's a bit more, the bracket that the ball is mounted on is a different shape to the what came off, and to attach the cable it has to be brought around, opening the throttle, I thought about bending the cable mount bracket but then the angle of pull will be all wrong, how have others mounted these things on.

Can the throttle link that the cable mounts to be swapped for the original? That may solve your problem.

Try this link - it is mustang orientated but the result is the same. This is the AU/Explorer 65mm being retrofitted on the 93 mustang.

When I fitted a 65mm TB to my car, I had to use the original bracket that holds the cable, and relocate the nipple on the little bit that cable attaches to on the TB.
I dont think you will need to relocate the nipple thing, cos yours is already designed for a falcon (mine was the wrong way around cos the yanks are backwards)

got it sussed thanks to MrLandaus link, I'll be doing mine a bit differently, I'm going to totally remove the existing throttle linkage from the 65mm TB and replace it with the one from mine, it looks like all the angles will be correct, just have to find the down time for the car as I will be devconing the linkave back on, have to grind down the tps point as well, so it's not as plug and play as I thought
