who can point me in the right direction ?
Is a internal balanced flexplate available to match up with my BTR 95 le Auto Trans ? 164 tooth 11 3/8 4 hole center. Surely someone else has an 347 engine which has been internally balanced and fitted to a BTR auto Cutting the counter weight off would not make it neutral. Who makes one? |

Yes the aftermarket makes neutral balance flexplates in 164T. The BTR flexplate is the same as a U.S. AOD flexplate. You'll notice it actually has AOD stamped into it.

yeah i did see the Aod on the flexplate ,but its amazing the Australian aftermarket gurus dont know about it.
Have you personally used an aftermarket zero balanced on your car? anyway i will start looking at the AOD ones for a match maybe summit may have one. Thanks for your help |

No I haven't used one I just know that the engines were fully imported with Flywheels already fitted. Which is logical because they'd have been test run which means they need the whole balanced assembly together. Plus I've used a C4 flexplate on an AOD on my 351w. So they are also the same.

Hi,
Its just weird that when measuring the pcd of the 4 holes to the converter i end up with 11 3/8 center to center and so far i haven't been able to match it with anything... 164 tooth 11 3/8 c to c |

How are the measurements done? across the flywheel or in a bolt circle? It's ok it has to be across the flywheel coz it's only 8" around from bolt to bolt. Yeah that's because that's where the parts land when they blow up
I just asked a mate who did this and he said he just redrilled an aftermarket one. |

Ok you're nearly there. I've got the feelers out so will see what we come up with.
Do you need an SFI spec flexplate? Most 347 kits are the same imbalance as 351's/Pre '82 5.0's. ie 28oz. What is this setup you've used for zero balance? |

Rpm forged crank,Mahles forged Pistons H beam rods Romac internal Balancer
Bought from Woody at Ford Strokers USA. 1992 5.0 Roller Block Balancing was done By woody so it should be spot on. Auto will be the Original but Beefed up BTR LE 95 .is that what you needed ? SFI would be good but dont care at the moment stuffed looking |
