I won't go into full details however:

EB-EF/EL has 165kw
ELXR8 has 185kw
ELGT has 200kw
FBT has 195kw
AU Series 1 XR8 has 185kw
AU Series 2 XR8 has 200kw
AU Series 3 XR8 has 220kw
T Series 1 has 200kw
T Series 2 has 220kw
T Series 3 has 250kw

I 'think' they are all correct from memory. Changes just include different cams, heads, intake, rockers etc. BA has a totally different motor, hence "Boss". The block has pretty much remained the same with all of these, the crank changes with the 5.7L stroker T Series 3.

One drome has it all except EF/EL1 had 175kw only due to eec and minor exhaust changes. The only other engine I can recall was the ED Sprint which had 192kw and the EB GT with 200kw. Blocks from EB-AU3 are the same layout but gradually were revised for lighter weight, but also less strength.

Yeah EB/ED blocks would probably be the strongest of the late model blocks but its not a real issue until you are getting big power out of them or go stroker.

The Series 3 T Series came with a 5.6L 342 stroker (not a 5.7L)

EB-EF/EL has 165kw

That's for a V8 engine? Isn't that a bit low? I mean don't the I6's put out 157kw? And the XR6 put out somewhere around 161kw?

All EB to AU blocks are the same. There is no difference in strength.
5.0 blocks from about '81 on were substantially lighter(up to 25lbs) and cranks were also lighter(in passenger car's) from '86 up hence, the 50oz imbalance on these engines.
Engineering rating on '81 up blocks is 350hp whereas early blocks were 500hp obviously people have pushed a lot more than this through either block.

BA engines are completely new and are part of the Modular engine family which includes 4.6 V8,5.4 V8 and 6.8V10. 4.6 and 5.4 are available in SOHC 2V and 3V and DOHC 4V including supercharged 4.6 DOHC('03 up Cobra) and supercharged 5.4 SOHC 2V(Lightning F150), 6.8 is only available with SOHC 2V heads one of which has a balance shaft as well.

Pete/Others - just a quick one from a youngin'....

If the weight of rotating parts in the engine (i.e. crankshaft) is reduced, does this mean the engine requires a larger balancer? Does this get to a point where a balancing shaft is required (i.e. in the examples of the modulars - does the lightweight design of these engines result in need for balancing shaft or is there another reason?)

Thanks.

In a word no.
When you say "Larger Balancer" I assume you mean larger imbalance?
When balancing an engine the combined rotating assembly is taken into account. Because the Flywheel and harmonic damper are part of this assembly it means that they too can be used to balance the assembly.
Late 5.0's have a 50oz imbalance weight on their flywheel and balancer. This is due to the centre crankshaft counterweights of these engines being reduced in size from their earlier cousins which have a 28oz imbalance.
These are termed "externally balanced".
Some engines are internally balanced eg; the 390 FE engine in my Cougar.
These engines have zero balanced flywheel and balancer.
The Balance shaft in the V10 is only to account for the unusual harmonics of the V10 design which an ordinary Harmonic Damper can't account for.

EF XR8's had 170Kw from an exhaust change.

AU T1 FTe TE50's had 200Kw, and the TS/TL50 had 220Kw.
