500km's to a 68 litre tank. Nearly all highway k's.
Gee, those V8's a pretty frugal. 800km to a tank on the highway!!! That's mad! A s**t 4 would luky to pull that (with the same size tank). I'd be interested to see a few XR6T and BA-BF XR8 owners post their usage up. |

I was getting around 600km on the highway just as it would hit the red light. Cruising at around 140 - 150 most of the time.
Now around town and freeway I'm getting 12 - 13l/100km. It could be better but I have a pretty heavy foot

I was very surprised when i got to Canberra on one tank of fuel, and still had over 80kms left according to the trip computer
This was 2 people in the car, and the car loaded up with all the s**t we needed to camp at the Nats, and drove the whole way with the windows down (which supposedly isn't very efficient). I gues the exhaust and extractors must make a bit of a difference, and perhaps being manual too. |

420kms stock PC with about 60-80kms left on the clock. I ran ULP 2 days ago, only got 360kms from the tank. Stock computer.. PULP makes a difference.

I can report that a BA XR6T with a Unichip & 3 hiclones was getting 400km from 80L! And this bloke is 80 years old. I thought the older you got the slower you drove!
That is horribly worse than my 180,000km + 5.0. Unichip obsiously doesn't help. I've heard huge claims that one hi-clone can give something like 17% better economy and with two you can get something like 24%. It looks like the best way to improve economy is with extractors.....

That economy is pretty bad fellas.
The other day I took a drive down to the phillip island and around the tourist roads before wonthaggi and still managed 11L/100km or 450km out of 50L of optimax. wasn't poodling it either. |

ok well i've got a ba mk11 xr8 pumpin out 230rwkw and my economy is s**t lol i'm lucky to get to 350kms on a tank city driving, haven't done a heap of highway as yet but can't see the km's going up too high, and next week i've got another mod planned hoping to get another 10 to 15rwkw, i'm not too fussed about the consumption, and yes this is my daily driver lol
oh and its only running generic tunes at the moment will be getting it tuned when i'm done with the mods i've got planned |

{USERNAME} wrote: Hi All,
Filled my tank up yesterday and the ute took about 62L. On the odo I got 475km from the 62L which isn't too bad I reckon. How many k's per tank are you e-series v8 boys getting? Just thought it would be interesting to compare. When I first got my ute I got 270km a tank, but with a good service and half mature driving i've bettered it. Cheers I get nearly 500 K's (mostly highway) from the stang. But i baby it. Comparitavly, i flog the crap out of my x2 excel, and i get over 500 k's on a tank of total city driving, and it only costs 40 bucks to fill. |
