you would need a custom bell housing and all the sensors and computer to go with it so i doubt it would be viable.

The XF didn't have a 4 speed auto, and the ZL fairlane (the XF model equiv.) never had a V8.

A 4 speed auto from an E-series V8 will bolt straight upto a cleveland or windsor, but as mentioned before you'll need the electronics.

arnt the starter motors on the oppersite side from the 351 cleveland to the e seris the e seris in on the right and the other one is on the left or is that just in the six cyilinders

You'll need the BTR auto from a 5.0. and you'll need the trans controller and harness. The starter motor is on the passenger side on the BTR bellhousing. The engine doesn't care what side the starter is on but extractors may not fit past the starter on this side unless modified. You will also need to balance the 5.0 flexplate to 28oz from 50oz to use it on the cleveland.
You need to fit a TPS to your carb and the controller also needs to see vehicle speed amongst other things.
The BTR should also be suitably "built" to handle the extra torque of the 351.

Pete.
