more pwr, i'm aint no expert,i took my car to an engine builder and said i want it to go,$13,000 later and he built me a stroker, need to spend another $1,500 on the computer, capa eliminator,to get the most out of it,plus cats and exhaust upgrade.
Main thing is good cam and a decent set of heads, won't go without flow, plus a capa flash tuner or similar and your on your way. There's always larger injectors, tb,maf, and if you got the cash put a blower on it. But theres alot more to it,i've just stated the obvious.

Something about cars and getting more power is endless, its all about how much money you have to spend & make a educated decision. Piece of advice is that go for something that you have more potential of getting power out of it & being reliable at the same time.
Eg blower as u can adjust boost & a great base to start from. Hope this helps

It all costs $ and doesent really add any value to it, so you need to decide if you really like the vehicle and you want to keep it for a while then "go for it"
as for puttin a BA motor in it theyre approx 90kg heavier the $ you spent on doin that you could have a screamin 5.0l like the guys said replace or port your heads and put a decent cam in it and itll haul a** |

One of my mates bought a Series 2 XR8 when they came out in 2000, it was 185 and he tried to option the 200 but they wouldn't allow it, in 01 another mate bought one and it was 200 kw by then, he also asked for the 220 and again it wasn't allowed. From memory the 220 was hand built at Tickford by individual builders, not on a production line.... Please correct me if i'm wrong. |

Both the 200kw and 220kw engines where "handbuilt" by Tickford. They both had the signature of the engine builder on the rocker cover...
Utes never came with the 220kw engine, they where only fitted to the XR8 Sedans. |
