I believe this is the crane cams 2030? It says 2030 on that page somewhere.
Part number 444221.

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browsePa ... e=camshaft

These are replacement OEM lifters I hope on this page.
Part Number: 36530-16

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browsePa ... r=36530-16

I also need a link to the crane roller rockers 1.6 to suit stock GT40P heads and the valve train components (springs, locks, retainers, guides, seals) to suit the above camshaft.
Don't know if I need new studs for the roller rockers or not.
Need info to help to learn about this stuff and links to items to suit this combo.

This is so I know what to order.

Cheers

Rockers will be 5/16 pedestal type, no studs. The link is in the related products on the right (rocker arms energizer). All 302/5.0L windsor heads since the late '70's were 5/16 pedestal. Lifters look right, application is right. The roller lifter stuff will fit in a 5.0L from 1985 onwards.

For the rest of your list, if you are going with Crane just use the related products links. Simply, if it will fit a 1995 5.0L/302 Windsor & match each other (correct ratio rockers, recommended spring loads etc), get it.

Thanks for that.
Just had a look.
Some things are for the same others require machining of the heads to get valve springs to fit which I dont want.
Would prefer all bolt on stuff.

Springs needed is this according to the camshaft specs
http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browsePa ... r=99841-16

Rocker is 1.7 ratio not 1.6 so that doesn't suit me even though it is 5/16" pedestal. The other rocker mentioned is a stud mount 3/8" but it is 1.6 ratio.
Can someone help me find the correct rocker required?

Think I may have found the roller rockers required.
Part number 36759-16

http://www.cranecams.com/?show=browsePa ... r=36759-16

These are pedestal mounted 5/16" bolt 1.6 ratio.

Pretty much getting there slowly.
If anyone can confirm or deny these are the parts I want for my GT40P heads please let us know here.
Cheers

You want ST2046 (non-adj) or ST2047 (adj). Adjustable makes it easier to get the correct lifter preload with the bolt-on style rockers. Well worth the extra $$ IMO.

Those springs (#99481-16) are not good. They have failed on me twice, and the second time cost me an engine. They look they are just made of crap alloy....

Bite the bullet, and get the heads machined. I will be using Crow 7333 springs/retainers/locks this time. Pressure works out about 140# closed, and 320# open.

They are a double-spring, so at least if one brakes, it shouldn't drop the valve so easy.

...but if you really dont want to machine the heads, I've got a set of 99481 springs/retainers/locks I would be happy to sell for cheap. I've got a bunch of spare springs I'll chuck in for free...you'll need them :P

With the ST2047 (adj) rockers it says you need taller valve covers.
Where on gods great earth can you find these? I've looked for ages.

Timmeh you can buy thicker r/cover gaskets made by SCE (p/n - 136076) or just double up two original gaskets to give you the extra height needed.

I doubled up the gaskets as well. There was one rocker still hitting the cover, so I used a hammer to get a little more clearance...

hans, i'll send you a PM shortly...

I bought the 2030 cam, crane springs (not sure what part number, but the invoice from CMP said they were to suit crane 2040), new lifters and new rollmaster timing chain set. that all cost about $1100 i think
then paid about $1200 to have it all installed, and they got me a set of the ST2046 (non-adj) street terra rockers as well (another $550?? i think they were a bit pricey but needed them in a hurry at the time).
they said they had to machine the pedestals down to get the correct preload on the lifters, but when i picked it up it was very noisy (tappety??) so made a time with them to get it back in to be adjusted. that was a coupla weeks ago and they said they machined them further and got it all set as best they can, but its still extremely noisy. At idle its sometimes quiet and sometimes rattly but once the revs get up, its very loud. from inside the car with the windows up, lifter noise is about all you can hear above 3000rpm. i haven't driven any other 5L's lately so can't do a direct comparison but i'm pretty sure its not right... i expected it to run fairly quietly.
I was told that the ST2046 rocker setup is the only option if you don't want to remove the heads (and i didn't want the cost of removing the heads if it was avoidable)
anyway that might be a couple of things to keep in mind when you're choosing your gear...

seems to be a very good cam. feels like it pulls hard to 6000rpm now whereas it used to run out of puff around 4500 - i've just got to stop strangling it with the tiny stock CAI and stock exhaust piping.

Geoff

You can get away with removing the inner oil baffle on std rocker covers.. Personally I'd just buy some alloy rocker covers....
