ive heard that my extractors wont work with these heads...I have got gt40p heads and these have raised ports and the spark plugs are on a different angle
what heads will be a direct replacement to suit my extractors?

Just to open the story back up, I use the Trick Flow Twisted Wedges and couldn't be happier with them. Both heads perfom pretty much the same, so if you went one or the other, you'd be a pretty happy camper. I wouldn't close the book on either one of them.
I don't recall hearing anything about GT40p headers not fitting either of these heads...

so should the same model number afr 165's or the trickflow heads fit on the au ford with after pacemaker headers aswell as fit onto say the eb 5.0 with headers to suit the eb?
does that make sense lol?

My EL XR8 has Defilippo 4 into 1s on my TW heads. I bought another EL XR8 with the same headers on a set of GT40ps. I hope that's what you were asking...

It's the spark plug angle which interferes with headers on GTP heads...
These headers / extractors can fit on other heads... Yep I have TFS R series Trick Flow heads heads..

Yeah, AU and E-series have different headers. AFAIK, they're not interchangable.

so thats my point if i get a set of heads i have to get the ones that suit the au ford and not the e series other wise i will have to customize my extractors to suit the alloy heads

I agree with using AFR heads, but I'd suggest the slightly bigger 185's. The AFR185 heads have considerably more potential with minimal sacrifice down low over the 165's. This leaves the door open for future upgrades (eg 347) while knowing the heads will be sufficiently sized. If you do go this way, also get the spring upgrade package as like most other alloy heads the AFR's only come with flat tappet capable springs
All AFR heads are fully CNC ported. I buy the entry level ones that aren't fine finished in the ports, and use a die grinder & cartridge roll to improve the finish. Only a few hours work The SBF heads mentioned so far have the same exhaust bolt pattern and port location. So headers that fit GT40P heads will also fit all the above alloy heads. It is the primary pipe orientation that changes between "normal" heads and GT40P heads due to the altered spark plug angle, although even this is often way over-stated as being problematic.

Only issue with 185's is the pistons require notching...
If using std pistons... P2V Should be checked in any build ..

Like was previously said, the steering shafts are in different positions, therefore the headers are designed to suit their application. The exhaust ports are still in the same position on the heads.
