nice work, the boss airbox is so much sexier than the 6cyl version.

quick question.... i have a SSinductions CAI... how hard would it be to mod the Boss pod enclosure to allow the CAI to feed into it?
cause i was looking to get one soon... but i don't want to loose my CAI |

get the t/b to airbox 'power pipe' form bpt (a few places do them) for more noticeable power. my mate did these 2 mods to his ba xr8 and you could def notice it. if you haven't already save up for the flash as well. doesn't offer huge power gains but driveability is greatly improved. gets rid of that gay 'cut the fuel supply' rev limiter and allows you to bounce off it a bit.

yeah im sure that could be done. but apart from looks would replacing the air box in an ef be of any benefit? cos it looks like that pod encloser would be smaller than the square air box. so with more air in the air box for the pod(even though its not round) wouldnt it flow better? the only mod you would have to do is drill a hole in the front of the air box for the secondary air feed...

blankly looks at FAST-XR,
pod filters have better flow than Panel filters... i've done some calculations on air density, flow, heat absortion, that i can show you if you want... it might help explain what a pod actually does... |

i didnt mean panel filter...
i meant mounting the pod in the square air box...

if that pod filter setup can supply enough air to keep the boss 260 happy then you aint gonna have any starvation issues on your ef.
also i don't buy the 'pods flow better than panels' arguement. it would be more correct if it wasn't made as a general comment i.e. pod x flows better than panel x. its another can of worms that doesn't really need re-opening though. either way you will get enough air in.
