its possible to get close to 200rwkw with the 40p's if you do some work to them and the manifold and get a decent matched cam.
as mentioned, those original prices are too much. i bought my explorer with 65mm t/b for $400 and heads for $500 + $100 odd cleaning them up and crack testing. yella terra still have brand new gt40p's for sale. i think originally they claimed they were the 220kw ones but i'm not sure on that.

I went to the yellaterra.com.au website to look for these GT40P's they sell. It has an option to search for parts for you engine but it doesn't say anything about them selling GT40P's. Anyone know where I can find out more info on them from Yella Terra?

theres a thread on FordForums.com where they even went down to 550 a pair for club members, but went back to 650 a pair. They are not the cnc ported ones that yella terra usually do. |

thanks for that mate, prety sure it a bit more than 10% though. i had a look at the customs site last night and on $2000 the tax would be $350 or so but your still saving $500-$600 so thats prety good and they also state that if you have a few pakages arrive arround the same time all for the same address they will add the prices together to work out the tax you need to pay.

oh cheers for that. Also Millard, had a look in your gallery and noticed you have a really big intake pipe going to the air box. Can you tell me more about that?

get them to send each head separately, as in a week apart. Then you don't get stung by import tax as aussie customs allow up to $900 without tax. Each head under $900?
Also, as they being sent overseas, you are not pinged for the US tax, so save around 2%.

Are they pricey? I thought it might have been a Herrods one. Worth the money do you think ? Does anyone know how well E series snorkles fit XH's and where I could get one?
Had a look under my bonnet where the seal is on the bonnet and it could easily take a much bigger snorkle

considering the price is it worthwhile just getting these as the afr165's are triple the price?

I considered the import job for alloy heads 18 months ago, but instead went with the 40ps allready on car. Spent $1500 getting cnc'd bigger valves etc. I know its around the same price to buy new alloys, just didnt want the headache with importing and after market rooting around to make everything match and fit.
Producing 215RWKW with the set up i have. About to pull engine down and fit a 347 stroker kit in it using the gt40p heads.
