Hi guys, I need some info, I have a 200kw AU Series 3 XR motor in my car I’m building. (Manual gearbox and irs all in a EB Series 1 running NL Fairlane interior and computer and dash I’ll put some pics up if any one interested)
I need some info on the GT40P heads on these things as I want to put better dual pattern cam in and wondering if heads ok for the time being until more cash comes for a proper rebuild as the motor has to come out for respray thought cam be nice too??

Heads should be ok if your not going too radical with the cams timing

Be sure to buy new set of valve springs for head though to match your new cam specs

Heads should be alright mate, but it really depends on what cam you are looking at using.
Sounds like a nice build, got any pics?

If the engine is coming out then that's very convenient for a cam change and valve train upgrade.

The Crane 2030/2031 cams where designed as an upgrade for the early 5.0L Cobra Mustangs. Those engines where almost identical to our AU Falcon V8 (so far as cylinder head, intake manifold, and compression goes).

Its a great upgrade for an otherwise standard AU V8 IMO. Even better with a custom tune.
