If it is thats good, it'll work well. If its the RPM i'd be getting rid of it quicker than the 70mm T/B. In its place would be an Explorer/GT-40/Cobra or an Edelbrock Performer.

Should be an OK setup.
STD injectors might be OK, but the std MAF will definitely be a cork in the system. Agree that the TB is a little too big, but unless you can get your hands on a 65mm AU for cheap or as a swap, then might as well run it and see what happens. Taking 0.030" off the heads will give compression a good bump, and shouldn't hurt the intake alignment too much, but you may need to check things like piston to valve clearance (but then again, maybe not with the stock cam?) |

I think that the 70mm TB is ok for the EL.
I'm running a 75mm American sourced TB on my AU 5l with a 65mm MAF. Polished steel intake...etc, didnt notice much difference with take off at all. But then again, the voltages NEED to be spot on |

Tmk the Gt mafs are calibrated 19Lb ..
Milling the heads also tightens up pushrod length...

What does this mean and what are the advantages.
Thanks Steve

More air goes in (ELGT MAF is less of a restriction) and more fuel as long as you have the ECU to go with it. More = power.

It means you may need shorter pushrods, depending of course how much you mill off the heads.
