If it were a Windsor i'd say go for it.
If you plan on doing a lot of work on the Clevo then yeah maybe, the 4V are good for top end and so is a short stroke. Personally, i like the 2V closed chamber heads. |

What about if you plan on bolting a massive turbo onto the side? I'm sure when it comes onto boost it will pull harder then brendan tomas.

to what gain as the guy said stock standard cleveland , think not 2V close chambers heads and camshaft , exstracters , exhaust system would do this less than $1500 will make the engine nice and streetable hate to see the costs associated with this huge turbo bolt on cheers

You'll get a power increase but you've got to remember camshaft selection for a 4V engine is very different to a 2V engine. Mainly due to the port size.
It's a myth that 4V's don't flow @ low rpm. In stock for they don't even flow up high. They are designed for mild applications 180-230rwkw. Once ported though they're good for around 250-300rwkw without going too overboard engine wise. Most common 4V setup is : 351/4V/F246 solid which makes 220-240rwkw with a stock head. On a 302 you'd probably loose 10-20rwkw.

Yeah the F246 was awesome, the Motorsport cam was good, also the Isky FL-380.
I still have a brand new FL-380 sitting in the garage, they were 560 lift and 250 @ 50 dur. My mate ran all 3 cams in his 4V Clevo and performance wise they were closely matched. If i don't build another Clevo i'm going to flog all my goodies off, got ARP Main stud kit and head bolts, rollers, cam and a few other bits. |

Yes ur right the most common thing clevo guys did all copy cats LOL u dont need the massive V4 heads the 2V closed chamber 302 heads will make easy 450bhp and upto 500bhp with a decant port and polish and the usual 4V valve transplant there are quite a few camshafts out there now take a pick LOL cheers
