Ok I'm getting old and the eyesight is failing is my excuse.
So please guys On the EL V8 do you run the car up on stands and remove the O2 sensors from underneath and if so where do I find them, the sensors that is Looking into the engine bay with all the gas gear and everything else fitted I can't see any sign of them so I'm just guessing they are underneath...I hope. |

From underneath they are on your exhaust just in front of the cats. 22mm Open ended spanner is your friend for removal. I must ask, why they need removing though, did someone recommend this or did you get a fault code to say they need replacing.

Thanks Brett.
Yes awhile back the auto started getting clunky when cold in low gears like a bad uni joint on the way out. Then in city stop start traffic it was feeling like the auto's time was near with 170k on the clock it was becoming undrivable. Anyway took the car to our local auto expert and he picked up the code for dodgy left hand o2 sensor. After a reset the auto felt and performed really ok but has now gone back to its old clunkyness. The auto guy recommended replacing the left sensor and doing a nother reset and see how things go so while I'm doing it I figured may as well do both. cheers Graeme |
