hi all, my dramas continue  some how when i was fitting my new stainless intake pipe i must have hit the maf sensor on the powersteer filler tube and broke a small hole in the plastic cover, yeah i know im a d***head. will this cause it to idle s**t? im guessing it will. now ive never removed the maf sensor from the maf so bare with me if im not making much sence here. is the maf sensor 1 piece once its renoved from the maf
ie, can i just replace the black plastic cover or am i up for a complete new maf sensor?? many thanks in advance.

Unless you damaged the circuitry inside you will have no problems. Just stick a bit of black silicone in the hole.

ok cool, ill give that a go and get her going thisarvo and see how she runs.
i was looking around today to find a replacement and i found this bloke who has 7 brandnew genuine ford maf's for $230 each but he says they suit eb-el v8.
can anyone confirm that eb-el v8s have the same maf?

Yes unless you have a GT or a Sprint which have a 70mm.

Just unscrew and pull out. It's quite simple - even I've done it! Ha!
