driving home a few days ago my oil pressure got all the way to the start of the orange band on the gauge, a few trips on the weekend and it was normal, around half way, missus tells me it did it again today, got all the way up to the start of the orange band, maybe just into it, I changed the oil and filter about 1000ks ago with the same stuff I always use, shell helix synthetic 15w-50, so it should be fine, what could be causing the high oil pressure?

When the sender is disconnected it goes up to the top, when my sender failed, it was good for 10 mins then fell to the bottom of guage. Check wiring to sender( Infront of block below water pump). They are about 80 new and need a deep 24 or 25mm socket to remove. Hope that helps
