ok, so i buy a 750dp off ebay. followed shortly by a braided carbi fuel line. i notice that the speedflow connections on the fuel line are way bigger than the fuel line intakes on the holley. i dont think too much of it, how ever last week i gave the carbi to a mate (works at a carbi place) to build for me and he tells me its only a 600 not a 750. thats why fuel line doesnt fit.
any way. im tryin to find out what size a normal 750 dp takes (size of my fuel line) and what size a 600 is (eg, -8-9-10etc) so i can chase a adaptor for time being, as car is in a pieces and cant finish till carbi is atleast temporarily sorted. cheers

just take the carby and fuel line to og speed shop, they should have adapter there to work out what u need.
otherwise outlaw speedshop in the city or pro action spares tomorrow. there is no standard fitting for a 600 holley, u can use #6 # 8 #10 lines into the fuel bowl. can u post pics of what u have |

What is the list number on the choke horn?
Is the fuel rail actually a Speed Flow product? or is it a cheap knock off? As far as fittings go, ALL 'Y' bowl holleys have the same thread size. Barry Grant demon carbs have a smaller thread. If the thread really is different, just get your mate to fit bowls to the carb that will fit your fittings. |

i took carbi and fuel line to outlaws on saturday morning, when i bought all the other speedflow fittings i needed, but the said theres no such adaptor, but i found the new repco performance catalogue at my mates place and the brand they use (not speedflow) has all sized adaptors.
my fuel line is not speedflow, probly cheap procomp or somethin off ebay. i found out that fuel line is -20, now just need to find out what size carbi is. what size are holleys supposed to be?

obviously the guys at outlaw are bunch tossers.
http://www.speedflow.com.au/carbadapters.html the GB adapter will also fit single inlet holleys like the current 1850 600vac. |

hey thanks for all your help. I rang og speed shop today, armed with info from the speed flow site. They were a bit um and ah, but when i told them outlaws was no help the quickly changed their attitude to 'oh s**t mate, we can get somethin sorted, definatly. Bring them both in and we'll check it all out. Can definatly sort it' funny what a bit of competition does. Ha ha. Will let ya know how i go. I am still after answers on my 'condensation or head/gasket' thread though, so if anyone has any ideas. Cheers.

wtf... well i'v had absolutely no luck. i went to OG's and as much as he tried he couldnt help. it turns out iv got some rare s**t holley that has different inlet sizes to normal. they can make me a new line, but there re no adaptor fittings made to fit. i even tried pirtek and they had nothin either. ill post pics of carbi tomrrow.

sorry its a bit late. hope these photos work, never done this before. anyway if this does work this is the carbi. im pretty sure the numbers on the choke tower is 2299. i dont have a photo of the fuel line, but it is alot bigger than the inlets on carbi. and even the carbi shop rekons the fuel line would fit a normal holley.

i've just worked out your problem.
that is one ancient carby mate. I've got a big pile of those things at work just collecting dust. In all honesty put it on ebay and go and buy something worth using. |

Isnt that actually one of the new generation Holleys?
They have them in the states and a few of the pieces of crap were unlucky enough to end up over here. I have had one before and they are meant to be the ducks nuts. Pity no standard old school holley parts fit them and no one carries the correct bits!

yea, its funny iv heard both explanations as well. my mate said they were old as, but the guy at og's said they were a relatively new model, and when they came out every one wanted them, but then everyone realised how crap they are and now he cant even give them away. either way, your right. resell it, and buy the right one. cheers for all your help guys.
