even if u got just any 5.0litre from an eb that should do the trick. A mate of mine is selling a complete NC 5.0litre for $1000.

Probably better off getting an EB V8 engine mate. EL V8 didnt have any more power (throw a decent set of extractors on an EB V8 and it'll make similar power to an EL XR8 motor). Will make life much easier with wiring.

I thought the EL XR8s had the 185kw motor with the expolorer manifolds & heads...???

when u do a major engine swap like this, ur best option is to get a wreck of the EL V8 and transport ALL the gear u need....if you already have the engine then try and find a wreck with the engine removed or just dont take the engine with it.....if you do this then you'll hav all the bits you need and u shouldnt hav any trubles

Get in contact with darren (or nick) from Ferntreegully auto salvage, they should be able to hook you up with the bits you need.

Im pretty sure you dont need the K frame as your cars an EB, EA's need them because their Kframe is different, try sending NEO_NICK or xr8 dismantler a PM,
