Ok guys may sound silly but in the book for the XR8 AU11 200kw it says i need 5.5ltrs for an oil/filter change.

Everywhere ive looked everyone says only 5ltrs is required when doin the oil and filter can any1 confirm dont wanna have to little an amount of oil.

well depends if they mean with the filter or without?

the oil filter holds a fair whack of oil

at least half a litre

best way
after u have dropped the old oil and oil filter

fill new oil filter and add new oil say 5 litres( wiht sump plug in )

start car for 2 mins
turn off

let sit for 5 mins
then check oil level

add if needed!
