I got 193rwkw with 19lb injectors.
Upgraded to the 30's, and with no other mods (other than a retune) got 205.7rwkw

is it possible to upgrade to 24lbs injectors and not change MAF?

Don't think so. Our ECU's are designed with the MAF to be calibrated to the fuel injectors.

Exactly, you either have to change the EEC's injector slopes (via an edit / chip) or change the MAF to fool the EEC. 19lb are technically only good for 230kw or around 165rwkw, people do get more but its pushing the injectors past their intended tolerances. |

In any case the 55mm maf with 19 calibration flow about as well as a straw..You need to buy larger injectors and maf callibrated to size...

What would the maximum for 24lb injectors be then?

On a V8 around 290kw or 220-230rwkw technically. |

Now that's a lot of grunt for a N/A V8!

I'm getting a bit of pinging higher in the rpm band with 19lbs @ stock fuel pressure with no tuning done at all. My combo is in my sig

168rwkw is pretty impressive with standard muff and ported E7's Get yourself an AFPR and wind in a little more fuel rail pressure. That should get enough capacity out of your 19lb'ers in the meantime. |

How does fuel pressure affect detonation?

If the reason for the detonation is the engien running lean up high, then an increase in fuel pressure may provide enough extra fuel to stop it pinging. The problem with the EECIV/V is that it is fairly smart and can cancel out the majority of fuel system changes such as increased fuel pressure etc, still its worth a try. |

If the ECU is that clever the it doesn't sound as though there's much you can do to stop the pinging other than what, back off the dizzy?
