I'll have a look but I don't think so either. I probably would have noticed it before when I fixed the poxy cheap a*** 3" single he put on it.
It doesn't have decals now either because he painted it yellow.

I doubt you'll be able to get any of the XH decals anymore - the series II S ones were the same as the EL S sedans.

:?: There's another thing that doesn't add up - XHII's had the round type tonneau tie down points, as opposed to the XHI hook type like yours has.
I'm pretty sure the panel mounting is different, so they're not interchangeable AFAIK.

Yep, you can't get anything anymore.
Yes the hook type ones were added be my mate because the round ones kept pulling out apparently.
I remember having to drill out the two extra holes on the NOS tailgate I got for my XE ute because obviously, only XH tailgates were available left. It's also got XF doors on it with bastardised strikers.

Now it makes sense . . :D

The tubliners are good, but do need foam under them on the top panels - they wear the sh*t out of the paint.

Well it's been bantered that there were 412 XHII V8 'S' models built. Can't find anything official though.

You'd need some polyprop foam otherwise it would probably cause rust.
412 sounds like a fair bit. That's good coz there's more parts around.
I need a late TCU for mine. It's got an EB one which doesn't have TTL/serial so you can't manual shift and the fans are always on. I may have an EF one kickin around which should have these features.

Do you mean TCU when you say ecu?
What about your headlights?

I know washing mine with tonneau on it does surprisingly trap moisture in that area.

Yep, bonnets and front guards

Do the lateish ones allow converter lockup in 3rd like the EL I6 ECU's ?

Apparently not.
Not just guards and bonnets though snap.
Haven't looked(or been able to look) at the strategy of the TCU. Was sure I remember seeing converter lockup in lower gears than 3rd in ED 5.0's in the past just when looking at the tacho?
EF TCU fixed the problem anyway. It did indeed have an EB 5.0 TCU in it.
Is this a guessing game or something Gassa?

Hmmm, XH unique parts - Instrument cluster surround, outback 2nd fuel tank, hydrotrak diff, plastic body surround rear window, rear bumper.
Can't think of any others.

Pretty much though all that stuff can be sourced from EF/EL's ??
The tailshaft can come from a V8 fairlane/LTD.

I get what you're saying though - certainly not as plentiful as the 6 cyl stuff.

unfortunately harnesses are not the same. Yes the more V8's the better...that's the point.
