Hi mate,
Depends on how much you want to spend, but for a simple mod why not try a POWERCHIP GOLD98, thats what i have got in my ED 5.0L GHIA now, i have had it for 3 and ahalf years now it has been really good. It opens it up abit and you CAN notice the differance, some people may say go a TWEECER, but i'd go for the POWERCHIP GOLD 98. if you want her to bag up it will do it!!!. Also, see if you can get some 3.45 or 3.7 diff gears that will also help you out. Hopr this has helped you mate!! Cheers Jason |

i'm running a powerchip gold 98 and i can tell a big difference when its not installed. the engine is a lot more responsive. when the mechanic was installing the new manifold he removed the chip as he thought it was affecting the tune and he found the car ran like a bag of s**t without it.
In regards to buying them, you can buy them from the powerchip website and install is amazingly simple. remove kick panel, unscrew bracket and plug in the bottom. Hope this helps Trent

Got them too and they are excellent. In regards to price of chip. mine cost me just under a thousand. Mind you if i had my time again i prob would have just changed diff to 4.11, doesn't actually change hp but you will notice a big change in the acceleration. i've got 3.73 atm and gonna change to 4.11 very soon. what diff do you currently have? if its a 3.08, go to wreckers and get an EL XR6 disc to disc and get some 4.11 off ebay and get a diff joint to swap them out. you will then have LSD and great take off Trent

The ratio change wont actually change your torque or power figures, the underdrives will on average give you about 10rwkw bonus, so with the diff and the pullies the change will be very noticeable and driving in the wet will be a bit of fun and spinning in the dry is fairly easy (245's on the rear help traction abit lol)
In regards to price, gears off ebay about $200, the diff place will put in with new bushes for roughly $500 some places cheaper. underdrives if you go that way are $280 from BPT (they are a site sponsor) Trent
