Power steering pump pulley AFAIK requires a special pulley puller to get her off. I've taken the tensioner off before but totally forgotten how I did it..

Dude, you can take the bar, aircon and everything out of the fronnt end and the cam will come out. Also, when we did the heads on mine, we just undid both the bolts that attach the aux's to the left hand bank, then for the third bolt that is behind the PS pulley, undid that bolt a little, then slid it forward, then undid etc till it was off. Took a little longer but we got it in the end.

yeh frank, i put the EL bit in there after he posted..
yeh brett just wondering whats gonna be easier for when doin the cam.. so ill have to toss up between the two.. ah ok yeh i could do that with the power steering bit.. mite have to give it a go. what did ya do to get the tensioner off(for the RHS dress)? coz that completely shrouds one of the 3 bolts that holds the bracket on.

The tensoner is held on by the torx head bolt in the middle of it. I just used a allen key that is very close to the size of the middle of it. I am also having trouble with the bolt behind the power steering pump.

Yep, from me3mory, it w3as a T25 torx bit, Came off easliy, then there is a bolt behind it that is one of 3 for that side of the motor. Be warned, when removing the Timing cover, the sump needs to be undone, and the from part of the gasket can tear when taking the cover off. Mine did, but i managed to "goop" it up to stop it leaking. Also, when you get the balancer seal, do not get the seal that has a shroud around it. Mine leaked, then re had to replace that as well. You will know what i mean when you get to it.

well, anyhoo... got handy info on the 3 hickups i came across.. i can make more progress soon yay! still yet to order the heads/cam/rockers tho, probably wednesday.. eek!
will be AFR heads #1472 http://www.airflowresearch.com/165sbf_sh.php yella terra stealth shaft mount 1.6 ratio http://site.offline.stupid.mongrels cam will be COMP XE270HR http://www.compcams.com/catalog/156_157.html the cam will actually be rather mild considering the setup(an option would be the 274), but i want streetable torque, and it should still make good power anyway..
