I may upgrade my intake or SELL my 5.0L.
Which is the easiest intake to install?
Do they require engine mods?

Whack a Explorer manifold on. You need a bunch of long bolts and some short bolts as well as the gaskets. That's it.

True. But I think the HO bolts use less of the long bolts than the GT40 lower intakes.

Is your Fairmont a V8 Jaysen? What have you done with the engine?

Had a 6cyl EF fairmont before this one which is how I got in to the cams for the 6's, but unfortunatly I ended its life abruptly by driving it in to a commodore head on. I just have a thing for the EF's and I always said that when I buy another car it had to be a V8

Yeah the explorer manifold will wake it up a bit..best bet is to take some of the bumps off the lower gt40 or just get it extrude honed and match port to your heads ..
