Hey,

I've been offered this just wondering if it will work on my ed xr8 or not?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... Track=true

It is a bit vague but the pro-m has the oval plug, and the injectors are fms.... and i sent the guy a msg and he said it was off of a 87-93 mustang

cheers
Simon

Hey simon,

Long time no see!!

If the injectors have EV1 style plugs they are plug and play... im pretty sure the Pro-M will do the trick... any chance of getting more info on the MAF? It looks as tho the E series electronics will fit... this will be the key.

87-93 Mustang is what our EFI systems are based on, so it sounds like all should be OK.

Yes it will work but, do you need 36lb injectors?

Pete.

36ers are a bit severe unless you are running a blower. Also without something like a tweecer you will probably have very rich startup issues. With my 42lb injectors the engine would flood every time until I reduced the injector pulsewidth during cranking with the tweecer.

Yeah i don't really need 36er's but i am going to run NOS so i thought it could be a safety measure...? don't wanna lean out

I'm having the rich startup issues now with my s**t, so i'm thinking of going to a tweecer anyway...it's hard though because there aren't many people using tweecer in SA...

You are welcome to come around and see how my tweecer is working. My car will be off the road again probably for the next few weeks but you can still have a play with the software etc or just wait till its going again.

As you are probably aware, it has far more ability than the unichip if you have the right EEC or can find one.

That maf comes with its own electronics...
It" should" be trimed or tuned to run with 36 Lb injectors...
Idle could be an issue ?? Keep in mind though, even with blower or turbo there is very little boost at idle anyway...
With N20 you need HEAPS of fuel.....
You have to use 36 Lb injectors with that maf ...Oh unless you tune with TEECer etc....
